Have you ever heard the saying, ‘A friend would get you out of jail but a true friend would be in jail with you’! I don’t want this to imply that I want, desire or ever need to see the inside of a jail cell. For me this is the importance of partnership. When things are bad who will be there for you? Only a partner will.
I have never been one to name drop, show my worth or put on a show for anyone. In return, I think this is the people I attract. I don’t care about knowing everyone; I care about those that are worth caring about. Those worth my time and want to play the game of life with me. I am by no means a master at this game, but I know in my heart that the people I have in my life are people who matter to me and my future.
I have had some pretty crazy relationships in my life. Some good, some bad, some that are special and rare. From family, friends, partners and co-workers... You get the idea.
The list goes on and on. It’s up to all of us to find the rare ones, the ones that matter because this is really the greatest part of life. Being around like minded people is an honor and not an obligation.
I know now, that people who I have helped or help me are developed in special relationships. I love the partnership with these people and cherish who they are in my life.
The ones that are here, the ones that are gone, the ones I love and appreciate the most, the ones that fly 10,000 miles in a week for me. For us.
Find partners that matter forever, not ones that can help you for a brief moment in time or a flash of time.
